Coupled with our growing population, unemployment could actually be an issue deserving of adequate attention from the Federal Government. In a bid to mitigate these issues, the FG launched the Npower program.

Npower program focuses on inculcating the relevant skillset into applicants who participate in their skills acquisition centers. If you have acquired vocational skills from your previous work history, then you also stand a chance of benefitting from the N-power program 2021.

With the Npower program, the FG intends to broaden the Nigerian domestic market by funding start-up business to encourage large scale production and competitive business space.

The main thrust of the program is plugging the gap created by youth unemployment. As the number of unemployable youths due to lack of the relevant skillset is alarming, the Government provides this platform to spearhead apprenticeship and skill acquisition for the myriad of unemployed youths in the country.

Npower program 2020 Beneficiaries

You can still benefit from this Npower program once it starts making rounds next year.

However, there some important points that you need to know about this program. The beneficiaries of the Npower program have not all received funds from the government.

To resolve this issue, Npower beneficiaries who are yet to be paid have been notified by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management (FMHDSD) to forward these documents within two days of receiving the notification:

NYSC Discharge Certificate

Bank Statement

Specified documents relevant to the Npower program

If you applied for this year’s program and have not received your payment, then kindly submit the documents listed above to the National Orientation Agency in your vicinity.

Also, the same directory from the ministry advises that you should ignore the above message if you have been paid.

Warning: Do not attempt to apply for double payment, you will likely be caught during the rigorous screening process.

On-going Npower Batch

If you did not apply for the concluded Npower Batches A and B, there is still a chance that you can be a beneficiary of the Npower Batch C.

According to a press release by the minister of FMHDSD, Sadiya Umar Farouq, the ministry has collected around five million (5000 000) applications from interested beneficiaries in the country.

You can submit your application before the ministry starts curating applications to select the qualified beneficiaries.

Also, the final stipend for the Npower program batch B has been drafted and scheduled for conclusive checks. Then the payment starts after this. You can hope to clinch this opportunity if you applied for the batch B Npower payment.

While this is great news, you also stand a chance of being accepted into MDAs by the ministry without even applying for one.
